Wolfpack Robotics Booster Club is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future tax code. The purpose of this non-profit organization is to support, promote, and advance FIRST robotics and STEAM (Science, Technology, Art, Engineering, and Math) programs of Laingsburg Community Schools, a public school system in Laingsburg, Michigan.

A booster club is defined as "an organization that is formed to provide enthusiastic support of a team or organization". Support is shown in many ways, including volunteering time, raising money, and contributing funds to better enhance the team or organization's performance.

Wolfpack Robotics Booster Club will:

  • Seek donations and sponsors to bring financial support to Laingsburg Robotics Teams for the various costs associated with running a FIRST Robotics team, including but not limited to, competition registration fees, traveling fees, building costs, and equipment fees.

  • Encourage and advance the Wolfpack Robotics program and related activities to promote STEAM and the mission of the team.

  • Support the mission of FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science and Technology) which is: to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

  • Encourage involvement from parents and sponsors to provide support to Laingsburg Robotics Teams.

  • Elevate the image of Wolfpack Robotics in the eyes of the school, community and themselves.

Wolfpack Robotics Booster Club will not:

  • Be responsible for the operations of any FIRST team.

  • Dictate how any FIRST mentor shall operate their team.

  • Openly discuss or conduct a performance review of a mentor, regardless if the mentor is paid by the school or by the booster club.

  • Offer up a petition to hire/fire a mentor.

  • Plan, organize, or attempt to implement a workshop, training, or build session without direction or consent from the lead mentors.

  • Discuss as official business any item that does not meet the definition and purpose of this booster club.

Our meetings are the first Tuesday of every month at 6pm at Laingsburg High School. All meetings are open to the public and we would love to have your help or assistance with this quickly growing program in Laingsburg School District.
